About Us

Welcome to the Gavitt Family
Grassfed Beef farm, where we are committed to helping families like you find the cleanest protein source so that you can finally find peace of mind at dinner time.

Have you ever purchased an expensive steak at the grocery store just to be disappointed with the flavor? Well, that is where our story begins.

Just like many of our best customers, we understand what it is like to not be able to trust what’s being sold at the supermarket. That is why we launched Gavitt Family Grassfed Beef.

With a few acres, just as many animals, and a lot of hard work, we have expanded into the grass based farm we are today. Today, we are recognized as a leading farm-to-table meat producer our customers have grown to know and trust.

At Gavitt Family Grassfed Beef, we are fully committed to 100% grass-fed and finished beef without any of the harmful genetically modified grains you will find in most available sources. We believe this is essential for providing a quality product that is healthy for families and healing for the environment.

We are proud to be a part of the farm-to-table movement and to be able to offer our customers the highest quality meat that is full of mouth-watering flavor with every forkful.

Our customers have found that Gavitt Family Grassfed Beef products fill their freezers with the highest quality beef, and we believe you will too.

We hope that you will join us in our mission to champion the healing power of farm-to-table meat, by supporting our farm and sharing your experience with friends and family as well.

Thank you for choosing Gavitt Farm Grassfed Beef. We look forward to serving you and bringing you along on our farm journey with you and yours.

Meet the Family. Wyatt, Brad, Melana, Colton from left to right and Ty in the front.

Meet the Team!

Brad Gavitt- Owner and Operator of Gavitt Family Grassfed Beef. A Veteran of the US Navy as an AW/ Helicopter Air Crewman and now a Registered Nurse at a local hospital working in the Adult Intensive Care Unit specializing in Neuro ICU.

Brad started with just a few cows and is now growing the farm into a 30-cow-calf operation. He is making the farm as green and organic as possible, not only to help his family but to be a good steward of the land. Brad has installed a solar-powered water pump that runs water to the cows by gravity plus the house and barn are now solar-powered as of June 2023. He purchased an agricultural flame-weeder a few years back to burn pastures and hay fields down instead of using chemicals to control weeds and bug populations.

Melana Gavitt- Accountant and IT Specialist.

Melana works on keeping the farm books up to date and everything in between. She works long hours working full-time for a CPA firm in Montoursville, PA plus making sure the boys get to all their sporting events along with helping out around the farm.

Wyatt Gavitt- General Manager

Wyatt keeps everyone working on what needs to be done for the day and helps out wherever he is needed. Wyatt competes in Cross Country, Wrestling, and Track and Field for East Lycoming School District. He was just inducted into the National Honors Society this year and has opened his own business. Check out his Facebook page here: Facebook. Or if you would like to purchase one of his hoodies click here. Which will also take you to where the rest of our swag is.

Colton Gavitt- Farm Manager

Colton takes care of the cows whenever his dad is working at the hospital. He runs all the equipment on the farm and is very mechanically inclined. Colton competes in Cross Country and Wrestling for East Lycoming School District.

Ty Gavitt- Calf Wrangler, Skid-Steer driver, and Hay Bale Rider.

Ty likes to help move the cows around the farm with his family and tries to push the calves back through the fence when they get out. With his older brothers in school, he is now the skid-steer driver so that his dad doesn't have to make a second trip back to the barn or field. Ty loves it when it's time to feed the cows because he gets to ride on top of the round bales.
